About VDay Cambridge

Caitlin Stewart Swift is the one of the many brains behind V-Day Cambridge. Well , not only one of the brains but also the heart and soul of the show. Having this show each year has been a labor of love that she is very happy to be a part of, and 2012 being the 3rd annual production, she promises that it is only going to be better.

The previous shows were huge successes. Last year V-Day Cambridge was able to raise $7,758.65. Wohooo !!! Now that's something !!
All proceeds from the shows were donated to the local charity - The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center(BARCC), and the V-Day Global Spotlight: Women and Girls of Haiti.

Few words - straight from the Directors desk :
“I got involved in V-Day 11 years ago back in my home town in Maine. Giving back to my community through volunteer work and activism has always been something that I’m passionate about and feel is deeply important. The mission of V-Day to end violence against girls and women locally and globally, touches my heart and soul. When I had the opportunity to get re-involved with the movement and help form V-Day Cambridge Cooperative Community I leaped at the chance. I am involved in V-Day to help stop the violence, to help break the silence, to help my community locally and globally, and to get people talking about vaginas.”
